You may not be aware of the campaign launched by the Manchester Commissioner to raise money for the victims of the Manchester bombing. They have decided to launch a badge encompassing the bee, which has been a symbol of Manchester for over 200 years, to raise funds and allow Scouts, Guides and parents to remember the people who were most affected by this act.
“We were overwhelmed by the by the outpouring of goodwill and support from our family of Scouts all over the world with over 28,000 email badge orders received in response to Andy’s Facebook post,” said Steve Holloway, the County Commissioner of Greater Manchester East Scouts.
The badges can be ordered via their Virgin Money just giving page at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/buyabadge. Badges can be ordered up to 30/06/2017 after which production will cease.
“Once again thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing the badges proudly worn by scouts and scouting friends all over the world.”Tags: Manchester, Bee Badge
