Scouts selected to represent the Island at the World Scout Jamboree

After a rigorous selection process, in rather damp conditions, the nine Scouts who will represent the Isle of Man at the World Scout Jamboree in 2019 have been selected.

The nine Scouts will represent the Island, led by Island leader Alex Armstrong, at this major international event that will see between 30,000 and 50,000 Scouts and Leaders from over 150 different countries gather for two weeks of international bonding, promoting friendship, sustainability and adventure. The Jamboree aims to unite the world’s young people to promote peace, mutual understanding and respect in a warmly embracing Scouting experience.

The Scouts now have 18 months of hard work o train, meet the rest of their unit from he UK and fund raise for the event.
